It’s end of May so I should post some regular outfits too, not only Kimonostalgia / artwork recreation. Recently I had lots of time on my hands and got creative with kimono. I started making DIYs, remakes, some accessories. I made monpe pants from an old kimono, even sewed myself a new lace kimono. I will show it off some other time 👍 In this outfit, I was wearing an obi I made using an old skirt! I always wanted to have an obi like this and happened to have a wool skirt with houndstooth pattern lying around. I’d say it looks proper! It’s very thick wool though, so I changed into something lighter after taking these photos, but it will be perfect for winter 👌 #120daysinkimono . .

Back to regularly scheduled posts after a few days of Harry Potter⚡️ Kimono shoot for Marta @marta_molina_gomez! Traditional, classy and elegant — I will never not love outfits and shoots like this. Full size and more photos will be on my stories!🥀 . . What have I been doing these days? Organizing kimono, planning Kimonostalgia outfit ideas, sewing clothes and remaking. I put away all awase (kimono with lining) and changed the whole collection to hitoe and summer kimono. About 130 pieces waiting to be worn! It’s hard to predict anything now, but I’ll just put it out there — after the state of emergency is lifted, I will be working as usual. At least I hope I can, because my work depends on bookings. I’m thinking of adding a yukata experience, limited to summer time only. Next kimono lecture will be happening as well, I plan to start working on it tomorrow. Stay tuned ✌️ . .

First kimono of April! I convinced my husband to wear one today, too. This photoset shows really well our typical day, especially now that I don’t really shoot and my husband has been working from home for over a month now. He does his computer work; I edit. We used to go out for lunch sometimes, but now I cook everyday. We have some coffee in our Polish pottery cups. TV is on most of the time, with BBC news in the background. Sometimes watching the news gets tiring, so we switch to something light. Today there’s an 80s song collection special on MTV, which is a perfect mood changer. (Fun fact: I love 80s pop and can recognize most songs by intro only👌) Staring at computer screen all day is tiring, so I will usually have a nap, then drink one more cup of coffee and continue editing. It’s not different from my regular lifestyle honestly, but usually I’m just by myself and have Netflix dramas on as a background noise. Not gonna lie, I enjoy having my husband around everyday. We usually just focus on our work and don’t talk much, but it’s just better to be together now, otherwise my stress levels would be out of control. 4 years ago I started taking street photos to deal with stress and anxiety, and lately I’ve been taking short walks and taking photos in the neighborhood again — I post on my other account @acchi_kocchi everyday these days (which is rare), check it out if you enjoy Tokyo (well, mainly Asakusa) street / general Japan photos ✌️ . .
